So! After thinking and procrastinating for an age and a day, I've finally decided to commit thought to screen. It will be a rambling blog with my thoughts on things trivial and maybe sometimes, a little serious. We'll see.
A little background: I am a gay Asian male living in London. With a childhood in Asia, a couple of years in Canada and most of my adult life in the UK, I suppose I can say that I, like Charlene, have "seen some things that a woman ain't supposed to see". And yes, I am a nostalgia freak. Expect lots of reminiscing :-)
I was moved to start this blog as my mother recently sent me a short email on my grandfather whom I didn't know very well before his death. He was a quiet man, almost impenetrable. But that short story made me see him in a light hitherto unlit. And my mother's words resonated - that she wished she had asked him more about our family history before his passing; so that she could have passed it on.
So, I suppose this is my way of putting everything I know, I like, I hate, I find amusing onto a medium that I can come back to; and if I find it funny or infuriating, maybe someone else will too.
